Rajasthan Weather: 7-Day Rain Break Ends, Heavy Rain Forecast in Bharatpur and Kota From September 4

The seven-day rain break in Rajasthan came to an end on Wednesday. It rained in various parts of eastern Rajasthan. Roopwas in Bharatpur received the highest rainfall of 27 mm (more than one inch). There was also rainfall in certain parts of Jaipur, Dholpur, and Karauli. As per the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rain in some parts of Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions on Thursday. This will be followed by heavier rainfall from September 4th onwards. Besides Jaipur and Bharatpur, there would be rainfall in the Kota and Ajmer divisions.

As per the weather experts, the low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal may move into southern Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh in the coming 24 hours. This would increase rainfall activities in Rajasthan. Heavy rains may occur in the Bharatpur and Kota divisions between September 5th and 7th. In addition, certain places may receive heavy rainfall. The Jaipur and Ajmer divisions may also experience the effects of this rain during this period.

The impact of the rain will not be uniform across the state. The Jodhpur division is expected to remain largely dry for the next few days, where the monsoon remains weak. The lack of rain in the past few days has increased heat and humidity in many cities. On Wednesday, the highest temperature in the state was recorded in Sriganganagar at 39.8 degrees Celsius.

The weather in the capital, Jaipur, changed on Wednesday afternoon, and light rain fell in several areas. Sanganer Airport recorded 8 mm of rain, while JLN Marg recorded about 2.5 mm of rain. Nearby rural areas, including Chaumun and Bassi, also experienced light rain. The temperature did not drop significantly after the rain, and humidity increased. The maximum temperature in Jaipur was recorded at 34.8 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours, 27 mm of rain was recorded in Roopwas, 18 mm in Balghat of Karauli, and 12 mm in Bari of Dholpur. Light rain also occurred in Nadoti, Sampu, Baseri, and Rajakheda. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in the Kota division on September 4th and 5th.
