Maharaja Club “Points Plus” is offering up to 200,000 bonus points per transfer partner till March 31, 2025

On cue from Club Vistara, Air India’s Maharaja Club has launched Points Plus, a tiered transfer promotion on March 6, valid for point transfers until March 31, 2025. Air India is offering up to 50% bonus Maharaja points on completing a transfer under this promotion. This is in line with the CV promotions of December 2020, March 2022,  March 2023 offer and March 2024 offer. You can earn a bonus of up to 200,000 Air India Maharaja Club points per transfer partner. The promotion is so inspired by the Club Vistara promotion that even the logo is the same.

Maharaja Club Points Plus Promotion 2025

Maharaja Club is offering bonuses on transferring points from points transfer partners for the first transfer per every transfer partner. You can move in a minimum of 5,000 points into your Maharaja Club account to receive a bonus of 10% points. From there on, it is a tiered bonus. You can earn up to 2 Lakh bonus Maharaja Points per Points Transfer Partner.

• 5,000 – 25,000: 10%
• 25001 – 50000: 20%
• 50001 – 75000: 30%
• 75001 – 100000: 40%
• More than 100000: 50%

Air India has published the list of eligible partner banks/programmes. The promotion is valid one time on each transfer partner:

1. ICICI Bank
2. HSBC
3. SBI Aurum Card
4. SBI MILES Cards
5. SBI Air India Credit Card
6. HDFC Bank
7. DBS

You need to be registered here before you can transfer points and receive the bonus.

As I mentioned above, the promotion is valid once on each transfer partner, which means that if you transferred in Maharaja points from different partners, the number of bonus points you will receive would be in line with each transfer partner and how many points you received. For instance, if you transfer 100K from your HDFC Bank Credit Card and 10K from HSBC, you get 140K total MC points on the transfers from HDFC Bank CC and 11K total MC points on the transfer from HSBC. You can earn up to 200K bonus points on each transfer partner.  The bonus points will be credited 60 days after the base points have been credited.

Important Things to note

The offer needs you to convert points in a single transaction, so multiple smaller transactions from various banking partners will not get you one big bonus. You can get the bonus once from each bank’s transactions. For instance, you convert your Bank Reward Points to 10,000 MC Points from one partner and another 50,001 MC Points from another Partner. In this case, you will be eligible for 1,000 bonus MC Points on the first conversion & 15,000 bonus MC Points on the second conversion.

For SBI Cards, while three different products are mentioned separately, they will be clubbed under one transfer limit.

I usually don’t advocate point transfers unless you have a specific redemption in mind. Still, in this case, this is a generous offer for high rollers who can swing in over 100K points to Air India in one transaction. It is also great for those who don’t chase Air India status but would like an occasional upgrade or a few, as you can use AI points for the upgrades.

Ultimately, there is only one risk to consider concerning this promotion. If any devaluations occur at any point, then the whole exercise is moot.

Also, be sure you have registered and saved a screenshot. In earlier years, with the CV Points Fest, people did not receive points because of this confusion.

Air India’s new promotion allows you to earn a lot of Air India Maharaja Club points by transferring in from other credit cards/hotel transfer partners. You can earn up to a 200K bonus per transfer partner on initiating your transfer from your credit cards till March 31, 2025.
