center;\">Wut?<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re not familiar with a trailing buy, (I\u2019m sure I didn\u2019t invent it, but I did bring it to the masses).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s you\u2019re still protected.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And if price <em>does<\/em> keep falling, this is great for you because you will now be getting in at even cheaper prices than before.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As we know, the crypto market can continue to fall for nonsensical reasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Just like it\u2019s been doing all throughout July.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">This Does Not Add Up<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day, all money does is transfer from the poor to the rich.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re rich or not, you can still employ the same tactics rich people use, and <strong>we do this here every chance we get<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here, and at the 10-Minute Contrarian Podcast, we utilize a long-term \u201cHODL\/DCA\u201d strategy, where we find tokens we think have long-term staying power, then add more when price drops.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>ESPECIALLY when it drops irrationally.\u00a0 Just like it did recently.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For those of you reading this blog in the more distant future, the price of Bitcoin has ranged between 60K and 72K for sometime now.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Price was on its way to the bottom of this range, when two pieces of news came out nearly at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>People who had their BTC stolen through Mt Gox back in 2014 were finally going to be made whole<\/li>\n<li>Germany was getting rid of all of their Bitcoin.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And the price of BTC fell below 54K for a moment.\u00a0 Altcoins fell much further.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As usual, sellers weren\u2019t looking at the big picture.\u00a0 Or any picture for that matter.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Mt Gox<\/h3>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This was very good news for early Bitcoiners who got screwed.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Remember, back then there were very few places to hold your BTC, so it\u2019s not like any of these people made a stupid or thoughtless mistake.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It appears they are all finally being made whole.\u00a0 Justice has prevailed.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On July 15, 2014, the price of BTC was roughly $614 USD.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s now approaching <strong>100x<\/strong> that.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Of course, some people are going to sell at least a few Bitcoin here.\u00a0 I certainly would.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pop the champagne, buy yourself something nice, maybe a dream home, and live well while still having lots of BTC to your name.\u00a0 Who wouldn\u2019t?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But if those people hadn\u2019t already figured this out, they have certainly learned by now that HODL\u2019ing as opposed to panic dumping when things get rough, was the superior move this whole time.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And not to stereotype, but I doubt most Bitcoiners are the type of people to be broke in 2024.\u00a0 They can stand to HODL longer.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But regardless of what they do, <strong>there is no long-term fundamental bear case here<\/strong>.\u00a0 Very short-term in fact.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So the drop we had makes little to no sense here fundamentally.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Germany<\/h3>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve spoken about this before on the podcast.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Germany is quite fucked.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One of, if not the most financially prudent countries in the world, has become net sellers of the best asset of our generation.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I mentioned before as well how central banks everywhere were buying up gold in 2023 and 2024, but Germany was not.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Do you think a country like Germany would pass this opportunity up on purpose?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No.\u00a0 But Germany is in a terrible position, and in many different ways.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They will need to deindustrialize.\u00a0 In fact, this process has been currently going on for years.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Blame having to shoulder the load for a failing EU, blame deglobalization, blame woke politics, blame the WEF, blame laughable energy policies, wherever you want to point the finger, you probably wouldn\u2019t be wrong.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Long story longer, I\u2019m sure Germany certainly did not WANT to sell their Bitcoin.\u00a0 They did not WANT to have to pass on purchasing gold at $2000\/oz.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But they have no choice.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So this news is not bearish at all for Bitcoin.\u00a0 Yet the price falls.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Again, <strong>no fundamental reason for the fall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We love this.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>(As an aside, Tron\u2019s Justin Sun offered to buy up all of Germany\u2019s Bitcoin.\u00a0 I\u2019m kind of glad he did not)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">So Why Not Just Buy?<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You certainly can, and IMO you would be historically correct, which is the only thing that matters long-term.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But I chose not to here.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin dropped irrationally, we can safely arrive at this conclusion by now, but\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Altcoins dropped even further.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Remember, <strong>they did nothing to deserve this<\/strong>.\u00a0 All this is, is traders and dumb money overreacting to an irrational fundamental drop.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And altcoin holders have much weaker hands than Bitcoin holders, so it makes sense.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But this is our gain.\u00a0 For we are not them.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Come\u2026.to\u2026.daddy!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We employ rich-people tactics to remove people like this from their wealth.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And this is what we\u2019re doing now, and now is a great time to do it.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Because if you didn\u2019t know, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2024\/07\/11\/germany-almost-done-selling-bitcoin-holding-less-than-5k-tokens-after-latest-moves\/\">Germany has finished selling their BTC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The bottom could very well be in.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But I\u2019m STILL putting in a trailing buy instead of buying outright.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What gives?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So earlier this week, I put this tweet out for the sake of transparency:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nononsenseforex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/imxtweet.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2753\" src=\"https:\/\/nononsenseforex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/imxtweet.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"490\" height=\"126\" (max-width: 490px) 100vw, 490px\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the IMX chart over the past 3 months looks like this:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nononsenseforex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMXchart.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2747\" src=\"https:\/\/nononsenseforex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMXchart-1024x432.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"432\" https:\/\/nononsenseforex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMXchart-768x324.png 768w, https:\/\/nononsenseforex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMXchart-1536x649.png 1536w, https:\/\/nononsenseforex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/IMXchart.png 1757w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And we are currently still in this bottom range.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I very firmly believe the Web3 gaming space will be massive, after a choppy ride up once it starts to take hold in the overall market.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I honestly don\u2019t see how it cannot.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>IMX is the current leader in this space, and has a very large lead.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The reason why it is falling with everything else, is nothing more than narrative.\u00a0 When Web3 <strong><em>is<\/em><\/strong> the narrative, everything rises tremendously.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So when it becomes the narrative again, and starts solidifying itself into the hearts and minds of mainstream gamers, you\u2019re going to be really glad you bought the best of breed at nonsensically low prices.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And here we are, for no logical reason, 65% off the recent highs.\u00a0 Pinch yourself.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But I still haven\u2019t explained the reason for the trailing buy.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s look at a better example.\u00a0 Here\u2019s the ETH chart from the same time frame.\u00a0 It paints a better picture of the altcoin market as a class=\"wp-caption-text\">via CoinGecko<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chartists, what do we see?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A bear flag.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We are currently in a possible retracement.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sentiment in retracements are typically feelings of relief and newfound optimism.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Even though Germany is done selling, even though <a href=\"https:\/\/santiment.net\/\">Santiment<\/a> is showing whales buying up BTC at these current prices (they were buying up BTC at 64K as well), and even though bullish narratives are back in the news\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve seen all of this before.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As much as it could in fact be a \u201cV-Shaped recovery\u201d, It doesn\u2019t hurt to put yourself in a position to get in at cheaper, potentially much cheaper prices, at the expense of a few ticks now.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>All told, the math works out in your favor over time.\u00a0 Very much so.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And this is why I\u2019m using a trailing buy for IMX, and I\u2019m also preparing to utilize it to add on to other positions should price drop even
