the one in the movie <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4nPm6ot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">War Room<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2026but realized you simply don\u2019t have the space?<\/p>\n<p>Maybe you live in a small home.<br \/>Maybe every room is shared.<br \/>Maybe privacy feels impossible to find.<\/p>\n<p>That was exactly my situation after watching War Room for the first time.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why I Needed an Alternative to a Prayer Closet<\/h2>\n<p>I was deeply inspired by Elizabeth Jordan\u2019s prayer closet and longed for a dedicated place to pray and battle spiritually for my family.<\/p>\n<p>But in our tiny home, creating a physical prayer closet just wasn\u2019t realistic.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s when I realized something important:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The power was never in the room itself.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The power was in having an intentional place to meet with God.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So instead of building a prayer closet, I created a prayer journal that became my portable war room.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In this post, I\u2019ll show you:<\/strong><br \/>\u2714 How to create a prayer journal for spiritual 683px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Is a Prayer Journal?<\/h2>\n<p>A prayer journal is a notebook or binder in which you can keep track of all of the things you are praying for.<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever promised to pray for a need, and walked away and forgot about it?<\/p>\n<p>I think we\u2019ve all done that a few times.<\/p>\n<p>I have learned to keep a notebook at hand in which I can write all of the needs I have promised to pray for.<\/p>\n<p>But I also include a section where I can write down answered prayers, and this has been a great encouragement to me.<\/p>\n<p>In your prayer journal, you can also write down meaningful Scripture, words God has spoken to your heart, or struggles that you are facing.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to Include in a Prayer Journal<\/h2>\n<p><strong>A prayer journal can include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2714 Daily prayer lists<br \/>\u2714 Answered prayers<br \/>\u2714 Scripture writing<br \/>\u2714 Spiritual warfare verses<br \/>\u2714 Gratitude journaling<br \/>\u2714 Prayer requests<br \/>\u2714 Battle plans for specific struggles<br \/>\u2714 Prayers for family and loved ones<\/p>\n<div \/>\u2714 Pens or highlighters<br \/>\u2714 Printable prayer pages (optional)<br \/>\u2714 Sticky notes or tabs<br \/>\u2714 Your Bible<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Create a Prayer Journal for Your War Room<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Create a Daily Prayer Section<\/h3>\n<p>In this section, you will keep track of the daily, ongoing needs of your friends and loved ones.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Special prayers for your husband and children<\/li>\n<li>Salvation prayers<\/li>\n<li>Financial needs<\/li>\n<li>Daily burdens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. A Prayer Requests Section<\/h3>\n<p>In this section, write down those needs you\u2019ve promised to pray for.<\/p>\n<p>If your list grows long, you can take this section and divide it up into days of the week, and then assign certain requests to certain days.<\/p>\n<p>This way, you can easily pray through your entire prayer list each week.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. An Answered Prayer Section<\/h3>\n<p>In this section, write down the answered prayer and the date it was answered.<\/p>\n<p>There are times when we get discouraged. Maybe we\u2019ve been praying for a need for a long time, and it seems that God isn\u2019t answering our prayers.<\/p>\n<p>Like David, who encouraged himself in the Lord, we can turn to this section and see all of the amazing ways God is answering our prayers, and we are encouraged.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. A Spiritual Warfare Journal<\/h3>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to include a space in your journal where you can write about your struggles and battles.<\/p>\n<p>If you are not sure what to put in this section, you can download this <strong>free<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/rosilindjukic.com\/how-to-use-prayer-strategy-worksheet\/\">Prayer Strategy Worksheet<\/a>, which helps you work through how to do spiritual warfare over areas of your life that need warfare.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Scripture and Battle Verses<\/h3>\n<p>I love to keep Bible verses on hand that speak to different areas of my life that need to be strengthened.<\/p>\n<p>I have put together several sets of <a href=\"https:\/\/rosilindjukic.com\/category\/bible-verses\/\">Bible verses as <strong>free<\/strong> Scripture cards<\/a> that you can download and print off and put in your journal.<\/p>\n<p>They help you to easily memorize and meditate on Scripture, to renew your mind, and grow in Christ.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Gratitude and Praise Pages<\/h3>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to add in pages for gratitude and praise, thanksgiving, and worship.<\/p>\n<p>When I was a young adult, my dad challenged me to write down five things everyday that I was thankful for.<\/p>\n<p>And I wasn\u2019t allowed to repeat anything I\u2019d already written.<\/p>\n<p>You see, there is great power in a thankful heart.<\/p>\n<p>You can grab this free <a href=\"https:\/\/rosilindjukic.com\/join-thankful-challenge\/\">Thankful Journal<\/a> here to use in your prayer journal. It has several colorful pages on which you can write things you are thankful for each day.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Prayer Journaling Changed My Spiritual Life<\/h2>\n<p>One of the greatest benefits of prayer journaling is that it helps me stay spiritually intentional.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So many times, we become so overwhelmed by life\u2019s battles that we begin thinking like victims instead of victors.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But Scripture reminds us that Christ already defeated the enemy.<\/p>\n<p>Prayer journaling helps me:<br \/>\u2714 Keep my focus on truth<br \/>\u2714
