NEW SONG: Pet Owner – “FOMO”

Pet Owner recently dropped “Tunnel Eye,” and now she’s back with “FOMO,” the second single from her upcoming sophomore album, Second Nature, arriving in early 2026. This new release leans into a simple, relatable question: What if messing up was scarier than missing out? The song plays with the idea of shaking off everyday chaos and learning to worry less. A quiet act of resistance and recentering delivered through bright indie pop.

“FOMO” traces its roots to a snow-covered mountain cabin in Switzerland, where winter solitude sparked a hypnotic synth arpeggio and a fresh wave of inspiration. Working with producer Amadeus Fries, Pet Owner built that spark into “dancy synths, warm analog traces, and a steady pulse,” creating a sound with subtle 80s influences that still feels completely her own. The artist has always had a left-of-center approach to composition, and this song is no exception. At one point, you can actually hear dogs barking in the background, pulling you into a vivid, almost cinematic moment that makes the track feel alive and strangely familiar. Gentle guitars, softly blurred textures, and vocals that drift between narrative and confession make the whole thing feel intimate and expansive at once.
