Received: RationAle Brewing non-alcoholic Kölsch

Cans of the new non-alcoholic Kölsch from RationAle Brewing, along with two Kölsch glasses

The latest entrant for Dry January arrived at the doorstep this week from non-alcoholic brewer RationAle Brewing: a non-alcoholic German-style Kölsch. To celebrate the new release, the company is offering a Dry January promo on its website and selling Kölsch for $6.99 per six pack (half off).

The box I received included four of the NA beers to review plus two Kölsch glasses, which is a nice touch.

I’ve reviewed RationAle’s other NA beers before and found them decent for a new (at the time) company, with the NA hazy IPA a highlight. I expect the brewery has had some time to work on the NA brewing process so I’m looking forward to trying Kölsch.

Here are details from the press release:

On the heels of its recent investment round and just in time for Dry January, RationAle Brewing is expanding its lineup of NA craft brews with its newest core SKU, and an offer to try it for just $6.99/6-pack all month long

RationAle Brewing (www.rationalebrewing.com), the trailblazing brand known for its rebellious take on non-alcoholic craft beer, has announced the release of its newest offering: A German-style Kölsch. Delivering the authentic flavors of a German brew — light grain, hints of spice, subtle fruit — the Kölsch will be a permanent addition to the brand’s core collection.

RationAle’s Kölsch arrives just in time for Dry January, a peak moment for the rapidly growing non-alcoholic beverage market. Recent polls reveal that 41% of Americans have actively worked to moderate their alcohol consumption in 2024, with this momentum expected to continue into 2025.

Naturally light and crisp, Kölsch is a German-style beer that lends itself particularly well to non-alcoholic adaptations, thanks to its balanced flavor and refreshing qualities.

For the launch, the brand is inviting beer lovers to “Krush our Kölsch” this January with an irresistible offer: Six-packs of Kölsch will be available for just $6.99 on rationalebrewing.com all month long.

“Kölsch has become a fan favorite in craft beer, and we’ve had our eye on adding one to the mix for a while now.” said Jamie Fay, CEO and Co-Founder of RationAle Brewing. “With a killer team of brew crushers, we’ve crafted our very first European-style brew—a Kölsch we believe is the best-tasting non-alcoholic option out there. And to make sure our fans have every reason to try it, we’re offering it at half the price this Dry January. So, who’s ready to krush a Kölsch with us?”

With Kölsch-style beers surging in popularity, RationAle Brewing is answering this demand with its expertly crafted, flavor-forward interpretation of the classic Kölsch, offering mindful drinkers an authentic and satisfying brew to enjoy any day, any time of year.

The German-style Kölsch joins RationAle’s existing American-style beers, the Hazy IPA and the West Coast IPA, and its Mexican Cerveza, further diversifying the brand’s portfolio. As the first European-inspired brew in its collection, the Kölsch underscores the brand’s commitment to offering a wide range of delicious NA craft beers.
