Wizkid is the most awarded African artist — right ahead of Angelique Kidjo

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, remains the most awarded African artist, holding an impressive 158 awards.
The 34-year-old global star boasts an illustrious collection, including two American Music Awards, a Grammy, an MTV Video Music Award, three Soul Train Awards, three Billboard Music Awards, and two iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Wizkid also leads as the African artist with the most BET and MOBO Awards, having secured four BET Awards and six MOBO Awards.
Closely trailing him is Beninese-French music icon Angélique Kidjo, with 140 awards, including an outstanding five Grammy wins.
Ghanaian rap legend Sarkodie takes third place with 120 accolades, featuring 30 Ghana Music Awards, three Soundcity Music Video Awards, three Headies, two BET Awards, and an MTV Africa Music Award.
Burna Boy follows in fourth place with 96 awards, comprising three Nigeria Entertainment Awards, nine Headies, one MTV Africa Music Award, three BET Awards, and an MTV Europe Music Award.
