Intrepid Travel Doubles Down with Purpose-Driven FAM Trips, Donating 100% of Fees to Support Local Communities

In a move that’s redefining what it means to travel with purpose, Intrepid Travel, a B-Corp-certified adventure travel company, has announced 100% of all 2025 FAM fees have been donated directly to local communities through the Intrepid Foundation—raising an impressive USD $12,000 for nonprofit projects in Vietnam, Colombia, and Portugal.

The overwhelming response from travel advisors signals a clear shift: the industry is ready for deeper impact and meaningful connections.

“At Intrepid, we’re doubling down on impact,” says Laura Hernandez, Head of Partnerships North America. “For agents, it’s about more than just exploring new destinations—it’s about leading with purpose, deepening their connection to the world, and offering clients travel experiences that truly matter.”

Participation Reflects a Turning Point in Purpose-Driven Travel
  • 10 agents will embark on the Café Colombia adventure in April, with another 10 on the Vietnam Express Southbound in May. Agents will be accompanied by a Key Partnership Manager (KPM) host, a DMC representative, and a local leader to facilitate unforgettable, on-the-ground experiences.
  • 11 agents will journey through Portugal in November, accompanied by a KPM host and a local leader for an immersive exploration of the region’s culture and sustainability efforts.
  • Advisors gain hands-on experience with Intrepid’s sustainable travel model while making meaningful contributions to the communities they help their clients explore.
Where Every Dollar is Making a Difference

Every fee directly funds grassroots organizations, ensuring 100% impact—no middlemen, no deductions.

  • Save Vietnam’s Wildlife: Defending biodiversity by rescuing endangered species, rehabilitating wildlife, and restoring critical habitats in Vietnam’s most threatened ecosystems.
  • Patrulla Aérea Civil Colombiana (PAC): Providing life-saving healthcare to Colombia’s most isolated rural communities, where access to hospitals and medical specialists remains a daily challenge.
  • Refood 4 Good: Tackling food insecurity by rescuing high-quality surplus food and redistributing it to people in need while reducing environmental waste.
