Prost Brewing Announces Plans to Open Fifth Location in Wheat Ridge

While the Colorado craft beer scene has experienced its share of closures in recent years, one local brewery brand has continued its meteoric rise. Prost Brewing, which first launched its LoHi location in 2009, has announced plans to open its fifth biergarten location located in the Clear Creek Crossing development in Wheat Ridge, CO.

The 6,800 sq. ft. biergarten slated to open in fall of 2025 will feature an expansive patio, private event space, and direct access to a park with a stage, fire pits, and games, which can all be enjoyed with a drink in hand through an open container permit.

Prost Wheat Ridge will also boast 40 draft lines featuring their full lineup of German biers, along with guest ciders, cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, which will be paired with a German-inspired culinary program similar to the one found at their Northglenn flagship brewpub.

“Wheat Ridge is a place with deep roots and a strong sense of community. We want the
biergarten to reflect that—to be a place for people to gather together and share their lives over
an authentically crafted bier and German-inspired food,” said Boyd Hoback, Prost’s director of
biergartens. “The space is designed to showcase German bier culture with Stammtisch booths
made out of the old copper kettles from our LoHi brewery. Roughly translating to ‘regulars’
table,’ Stammtisch booths are designed for bringing groups of people together.”

The addition of Prost’s Wheat Ridge location joins their pre-existing brewpub locations, which include outposts in Denver’s LoHi neighborhood, Fort Collins, Highlands Ranch, and Northglenn. Over the past 16 years, Prost has grown to become Colorado’s third largest craft brewery, buoyed by the addition of their state-of-the-art 60,000 sq.ft. Northglenn brewing headquarters, which opened in 2024. The addition of Prost Northglenn expanded production capabilities to produce between 40,000 – 50,000 bbls a year, which resulted in a 12.2% YTD growth in 2024.

Prost also recently earned international acclaim in 2024, earning a Gold medal for its Prost Biergarten Lager in the International Light Lager category at the 2024 World Beer Cup.

In speaking with the Prost team recently, it’s clear that the brewery anticipates building additional Prost Biergarten locations throughout the Front Range in the coming years.
