Businesses across the UK are always looking at ways to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability, but how do they do this? One method is to use a Business Analyst. A Business Analyst can help decision-makers by analysing the processes, systems, and internal data to provide meaningful insights and improvement recommendations. That’s where The Apprentice Academy comes in. We are thrilled to announce our new Business Analyst Level 4 Apprenticeship, which joins our growing suite of learning programmes.
What is an Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are structured learning programmes that anyone over 16 years old can embark on. There are over 800 apprenticeships to choose from, funded by the Apprenticeship Levy or generous government funding. All our apprenticeships are designed to build confidence, competence, and career capability. We ensure that our programmes include the following:
- Expert Guidance: Apprentices benefit from monthly online learning sessions led by industry experts.
- Personalised Coaching: Monthly one-to-one coaching sessions guide apprentices through their learning journey and provide invaluable insights to enhance their skill sets.
- Practical Learning: Through hands-on projects covering real-world scenarios.
- Networking Opportunities: Apprentices can make meaningful connections and expand their professional network.
How does the Business Analyst programme work?
The Business Analyst Apprenticeship is a level 4 programme, with a duration of 18 months. It is designed to provide apprentices with a comprehensive understanding of business analysis principles, equipping them with the tools they will need to excel as Business Analysts. With each apprentice gradually becoming more competent, their employer is impacted in a big way.
Relevant and up-to-date textbooks and online learning resources are included, alongside online learning sessions that run 9.30 am – 4.30 pm every month. Apprentices learn:
- The latest technologies and industry trends in business analysis
- How to investigate and identify business solutions
- How to evaluate and improve business processes
- How to model business processes
- How to identify gaps and assess risks
- How to understand user requirements
- How to facilitate, coordinate and document detailed user requirements
- How to analyse data and use storytelling techniques to make better decisions
- How to analyse and manage stakeholders
- How to present a business and financial case
Throughout the programme, apprentices can bring new knowledge to their business, taking their learning and applying it to the workplace. Businesses will see performance improvements from their staff. These improvements will be gradual, but most certainly noticeable.
What’s more, an optional addition to the programme is the internationally recognised and prestigious BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis. This qualification is aimed at anyone working as a Business Analyst who wants to underpin their experience with a professional qualification. It would be presented to apprentices upon completion of the apprenticeship. The BCS (Chartered Institute for IT/ British Computer Society) is an industry body with over 100,000 professionals throughout the world holding Business Analysis qualifications.
