Hello, and thank you for reading another Weekly Wrap Up (06/05) post! I’m happy to report that after last week’s disaster of no books read, I did rather better this week! I also was lucky enough to receive a lovely stack of books for review, which I’ll chat about at the end! Let’s get on with the Weekly Wrap Up (06/05).

Books Read

The Stars Undying by Emery Robin

This was a random pick up from the library for me, and I really enjoyed it! It’s a complex sci-fi novel, with plenty politics and religious debates. It reminded me of Arkady Martine’s A Memory Called Empire, which I loved when I read it a few years ago!

Starminster by Megan Hopkins

I read this magical and really interesting middle grade novel in one evening, I just got absorbed by the story. This novel is a really fun read, and I am very interested to see where the author takes the story next!

Thornhedge by T. Kingfisher

T. Kingfisher is an author that I have been wanting to read for a long time, and I actually own a number of her novels, I’ve just never picked them up! This was another library borrow, and since it’s just a short novella, I flew through it on Saturday morning with a cup of coffee! Delightful!

Currently Reading

Gallant by V.E. Schwab

Despite how well my reading went this week, I still didn’t finish this audiobook!! It isn’t even that long, I’m just not finding the time to listen to it! But I’m determined to finish it next week, so the weekly wrap up next week will have a different audiobook listen! I promise!!

The Decagon House Murders by Yukito Ayatsuji. Translated by Ho-Ling Wong

I love this series of Japanese crime novels by Pushkin Press, and I felt like I needed to pick up something that wasn’t a kids book or fantasy novel so here we are!
