One of my all-time favorite authors and I’ve been reading her since the beginning.I’ve been reading, I’ve been writing about her and her books for years, (whether it was reviews, interviews, fun tidbits, feature spots, that time we trended… and everything in-between) so you know me… I figured I’d compile it all into a nice, comprehensive list! 😉

Maryse: Wow. Just… Wow. Another amazingly awesome read. Am I crying again? Tomorrow book #2 for me. I’d totally start it now, I don’t really feel like sleeping, but gotta work tomorrow. FIVE STARS PEOPLE!!! FIVE OF ‘EM!!!!!
Angela: When you say read it, I definitely do! I read both books this weekend and cried like a big fat baby!!! I absolutely LOVED these two books!! My heart was wrenched throughout the whole weekend! Husband, kids, what husband and kids?? I thanked Colleen Hoover immediately following and told you sent me! Thank you Maryse for telling us about them. Definitely worth re-reading!!!! Yay!!
Amber: These books KILLED me. They TORTURED me. And I loved every second of it. The second one is even better. Butterflying bemazing!
➜ Book Review – Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover –
Maryse: a solid 4.5 stars from me. Slammed got 5 because it managed to turn me into an emotional wreck. This one made an admirable attempt, and *almost* did. And while book #1 is my favorite of the two (the romantic tension and impossible situation was like a punch to the gut), many thought book #2 to be the best.
Chris: I loved these books so much. They were super emotional for me (alot in common in lake *sigh*sniff*sigh*) but I could not put them down. They are a five “star” book for me also. I could relate to the carving pumpkin and also the use of butterflies
Marcd43: I loved these books! I laughed out loud so many times, and I’m not one to laugh at just anything. Colleen is amazing at being able to connect the reader to her characters so it feels like we are part of this crazy, unique family. Please write a third book for the series. Pretty please?
Patty: OMG..after finishing “slammed” , I had to see what happened…. I finished in 48 hours is was awesome. Between the two it hit every emotion. I got a strange look when I laughed out laugh while my husband was watching tv on the opposite couch….so when I started to cry I had to get up and go into the kitchen…..he thinks I’m nuts….lol

Jamie: HOLY.FREAKIN’.CRAP!!!!!! That was AMAZING!!! I TOTALLY felt like I was sitting in the audience watching and listening!!!!! I got teary eyed and goose bumps. That is the coolest butterflying thing I have ever seen! What an amazing honor Maryse! You deserve it girl! Squeeeee! That was awesome! Ok, it’s been 30 seconds….Im going to go read it again!!!
BTW….this just officially boosted Colleen to my #1 spot for most kick ass author EVER!!!!!Mak: That was soo sweet of her. And it is also very true! Many of the books I’ve come to love and adore were found only because of this blog. Slammed being one of them.

Jack: I saw Colleen on TV (I think Good Morning America) and liked her, so I decided to read Slammed…sure glad I did..could not put it down…really liked the characters!!! Gotta go, need to order your next book from Kindle!!!

Kathy: OMG! I stayed up last night reading this. It took me forever to fall asleep after this one. It’s one of those books that makes your heart pound. I love a book that makes you feel and this book definitely did that. It just may take me a while to recover. Loved it!
Stacey: My eyes were falling asleep last night at about 90%, but I forced myself to stay awake and finish it because there was no way I could end the book for the night (or around 1am) at that point! And I was so glad I stayed awake and finished it. Beautifully written, heart-wrenching, love inducing…it was such an intense and thrilling and amazing….and I’m not even sure those are the right words to describe it at all…because it was just more than that! I loved it.

Sakshi: I absolutely LOVED Hopeless. Till date, it’s the best book I’ve ever read. I am a serious book addict and it took me like 3 months after I read Hopeless to even pluck up the courage to read Losing Hope or really any other book. I just wanted to curl up in a ball and cry and kiss and hug Sky! *cries*

Patricia: Grad School be darned, I am reading this……..it’s worth taking a B in an assignment for, hehehehehehe! This series was beautifully heartwrenching and my first of this kind of romance. I had no idea what to expect but boy was I surprised. I couldn’t stop reading and enjoyed every word. I recommended them to everyone! SOOOOO Excited!

Nicole: OMG, this book was absolutely perfect. I could not put it down. The first two books were amazing. However, reading the story through Will’s POV, OMG, such powerful emotions. I give this series 10+ stars.

Maryse: Pure emotional genius. I LOVE IT! Gah!
Okay I’m fluctuating between 4.5 and 5 stars ’cause when it comes to Colleen Hoover’s books, I tend to compare everything to my BIG love of her #1 hit, Slammed. I’m thinking Slammed will forever be my #1 in her repertoire, and I gave that one 5 stars. But then again, I loved this one almost as much. Just in a different way. I’ll say it is my favorite Colleen Hoover book, next to Slammed. Slammed for me is pure sweetness (albeit, angsty, true….), and this one was pure adult angst (albeit, sweet, true…). 😉 I LOVED IT! 5 stars!!!
Savannah: Ohmygosh I couldn’t put this book down! I read it all in one sitting. Literally, woke up at 7:30 a.m. and finished at noon. Could. not. put. it. down. Then of course, I immediately regretted reading it so fast because I absolutely LOVED being in the story. I agree with you, the story and characters were so REAL that embodying Tate and their situation was a completely natural feeling and omg did I feel everything she went through. Love love loved this book and all of CoHo’s other books. She’s truly an amazing author who can make you feel every emotion in all of her books.
Michelle: Just finished UGLY LOVE. This book tore at my heart. I connected with each character and their individuals struggles. Loved the named Tate for the female lead
Amy: I was reading this review and kept saying, “Yes! Exactly! EXACTLY!!!” And describing her as real as opposed to a doormat is perfect. I would like to *think* that I would stand up to him and all of his hotness were I in her situation, but the truth is that I don’t *know* if I actually could or would in real life. That’s just the brutal truth. Ugh, trying to read Opposition (love that series!!) but I keep thinking about Ugly Love. Good lord, I’m already craving a fix from another Colleen Hoover book. 😉

Book Review – November 9: A Novel by Colleen Hoover –
Maryse: I read it (*squeeee*!!) and I’m here to tell you, you’re in for a treat!! It’s a totally unique way to tell a sweet love story. In true Colleen Hoover fashion, this one has all of her infamous feels (whether you’re giggling with glee at how clever her characters are, or wanting to throw your book in fury ’cause they can be so darn thick-headed sometimes!! 😉 ). The dialogue, the fantastic character introspection, POV’s from both characters (and yet you have no clue what’s gonna happen even though you know what they’re both thinking), everything that’s signature to this author is here.
And best of all? Not one, but TWO gasp-worthy surprise reveals.
