In response to the recent wildfires in Los Angeles, the SPRING/BREAK Art Show has transitioned its 2025 edition to a virtual format. The exhibition, themed “PARADISE LOST + FOUND,” runs until February 23, 2025, and features a curated selection of works from emerging and mid-career artists.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund. Following the virtual LA exhibition, selected artists will expand their showcases into a special section at SPRING/BREAK New York, scheduled for this May.

The virtual showcase includes a diverse array of artists pushing the boundaries of contemporary art. Here are some highlights:

Saxon Brice, “Moyra”

Saxon Brice’s “Moyra” is a 2024 mixed media piece combining charcoal, conté, and gouache on paper. Measuring 19.5 x 25.5 inches, this unique work is curated by SPRING/BREAK for the Artist Spotlight Section.

Brice’s art intertwines classical realism with contemporary themes, creating a dialogue between past and present. His recent works delve into technological myths, reflecting on modern society’s metaphoric conditions.

As noted in Whitehot Magazine, Brice’s style transports viewers back toward canonical paintings, yet is set through a contemporary lens.

Mireles’ work captures intimate moments, exploring the nuances of human interaction and personal spaces. His recent series, “In Their Own Words,” delves into personal narratives, offering viewers a glimpse into the subjects’ inner worlds.

Lenscratch highlights how Mireles’ portraits provide a platform for individuals to share their stories, fostering empathy and understanding.

Tyler Krasowski’s “Fried” is a 2024 graphite drawing on paper, measuring 7 x 5 inches. Curated by Nora Lucia Boyd, this piece exemplifies Krasowski’s meticulous attention to detail and his fascination with surreal, dream-like imagery.

His work features fantastical elements, inviting viewers into a hallucinogenic journey through imaginative landscapes that reveal his deep admiration for the old masters whose images are dense and require a closer look.

Krasowski will also open his solo exhibition, “Everything Becomes Something,” at the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings, Montana on February 28th, running until June 1st.

Supporting the Arts Community

By transitioning to a virtual platform, the SPRING/BREAK Art Show extends its reach to a global audience. Art enthusiasts and collectors are encouraged to explore the online galleries and consider acquiring pieces, as a portion of the proceeds will directly support artists affected by the wildfires through the LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund.

This initiative underscores the solidarity of the art community in times of adversity, highlighting the essential role of art in reflecting and shaping our collective experiences.
