A new tempo, a new statement, an increasingly catchy sound, one thing is certain: Dami TNT is staying firmly on the right track and establishing its distinctive signature in its musical register with ever-greater confidence. Three years after his debut EP “TnT Party”, the Lagos-born talent is back with an EP that he has successfully written and produced with a crew worthy of his talent. In addition to his brilliantly personal vocal range, the afropop sensation mixes R&B, dancehall and afrobeats with remarkable smoothness. This prowess has given him the ability to express various themes in this body of work in the best possible way.
The opening track on this EP, entitled “Enjoyment”, immerses us in this first festive and joyful theme, fueled by a catchy beat he composed himself. Dami TNT’s versatility is even more credible here. The emphasis on this theme is also reflected in the following self-explanatory track, “Happy”. Here, the Nigerian talent excels in jumping on an amapiano beat that’s sure to get you up and dancing. In this one, Dami reflects on life’s struggles but chooses joy over hardship. The second part of this EP is all about love. First with the track “Change you”, then with “La”, Oyo State’s talent has captivated his audience with a smoother voice, compelling melody and lyrics praising unconditional love, devotion and the intensity of passionate union between two souls. The nice surprise in this body of work comes in the form of the track “Kini Mo Fa”, which features one of Nigeria’s greatest artists, Wande Coal. Inspired by the Mo-Hits crew, Wande Coal, Don Jazzy and D’banj, Dami TNT has joined forces with one of his aspirations to produce this track, which immerses us in lyrics promoting perseverance and the sacrifices required to achieve success. The hypnotic beat blends perfectly with the vocals of both artists.
After this first achievement, 2025 is off to a flying start for Dami TNT. When asked about the next steps, the artist reveals: “A couple of singles and certainly a new project as we go on. I am trying to build a great catalogue of songs so I can give my fans a great show.”
