Recently our MD, Richard, and Operations Manager, Paul, attended the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award reception in Durham.
Talbot Jones Ltd signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2018 and were recognised with a Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award at that time.
As a company we are committed to supporting veterans, reservists, local cadet forces and forces families, as Richard notes:
“I’m from a forces family, growing up in Germany, England and Wales. Not knowing what else to do I joined the Army after university and fairly soon after I left as a veteran and a pensioner! Now my kids are in cadets and I’m an instructor. For me, the armed forces have been an integral part of my life, even though I’m no actively involved with regular forces. As a charity insurance specialist , it has been wonderful to engage with so many organisations that support veterans. As I recipient of support from my own regimental association, I know the huge difference these charities can make in people’s lives!”
