Highland Park Cask Strength Batch 4 Review – It’s just the booze dancing…

Booze Dancing TV

Today’s whisky comes to The Murder Table courtesy of our dear friend, Rob. It’s a cask strength (Batch 4 to be more precise) Highland Park Whisky that landed in the #2 slot on Whisky Advocate’s 2023 best whiskies list.

Here are a few words about this whisky from the High Park Distillery website:

Our fourth release has been matured predominantly in first-fill sherry seasoned European oak casks, along with first-fill sherry seasoned American oak casks, a small quantity of refill casks, ex-bourbon casks and – for the first time – ex-port casks too. Bottled straight from the cask, without the addition of water to reduce alcohol content, our Cask Strength series marries the traditional craft of whisky making with a modern approach to flavour exploration.

For those keeping score, this whisky clocks in at 64.3%. That’s a whisky with a “6”. Yee-ha is all we can say in this space! But we said much much more in the following video, so click play to hear ALL of our thoughts:
