A cosmic long duration heavy burner. Spirals, the elliptical sonic approach towards van Maanen’s Star. Intensities of tumultuous nuclear fission long extinguished, only light from residual thermal energy remains. Magnificently PJS channels this blackbody radiation, the opening track delphi in accord with the stars billions of years existence. Now, the final glow of luminosity as light slowly fades away in perfect aural script with Spiral’s second track Coral. Light years beyond, the coruscation of an infinite sea of radiant bodies draws interest. The third track, Observation gently thrusts listeners away from the lonely white dwarf, a saturated cosmos awaits as Spirals begins to sweetly digest within the conscious. The middle bones of this composition are all spirit warmers. PJS finding vibrational tones like the most halcyon summer rain. The last and second longest track Bright Air builds on the compositional foundation. A subtle energy pushing listeners away and into their self made realms. We will meet again, this time has really been cherished.
Patrick Dique and Jordan Christoff with another blisteringly beautiful moment in aural time. Spirals is a true heavy and deserves a listening window. Released on the Cosmic Winnetou label from Stuttgart, Germany. Cassettes are sold out from the label but a small number are available from the PJS bandcamp page.
