With their combined backgrounds in a multitude of visual and other creative fields, Bálint Benkő, Luca Csenge Gőczey and Aron Hujber, the founders of Budapest-based design firm STOKI, bring to their cultural and biotech clients a love of vibrant color, bold typography and high conceptual design. “We cherish the fact that, today, everything seems to revolve around keyframes and design systems,” the three say. “However, we also recognize the need to step away from the noise and find inspiration in arthouse cinema, explore ongoing social themes or delve into literature to remain a healthy distance from the fast-paced grind.” Having previously worked together at creative firm VAN, Benkő, Csenge Gőczey and Hujber decided to strike out on their own in 2024 and formed STOKI with the mission to forge lasting relationships with clients, something which they felt was lacking in their previous creative experiences. “Having spent considerable time in advertising, which tends to be fairly impersonal, it is crucial for us that whatever we do, we should it with a solid personal connection to our clients,” the three founders say. “We like to gain an in-depth understanding of the context of our clients but pursue a no-nonsense attitude, avoiding buzzwords like the plague and maintaining a light atmosphere throughout the projects.”
