Vegan BBQ Recipes – Thee Burger Dude

Vegan Friendly recipes perfect for a Summer BBQ, from Burgers, to Sauces, to Sides, I’ve got you covered!

Being from ‘Murica, I’ve spent the better part of my life enjoying BBQs during the Summer months. And heck, I used to BBQ in the winter months too since it’s warm enough in LA then!

Going vegan didn’t mean I had to miss out on this tradition, just had to make a few tweaks! Naturally, I’ve got a whole lot of BURGER RECIPES, but I’ve got some other stuff that’ll be perfect too!

I’ll be working on some more BBQ recipes over the Summer and will add them to this roundup too, so keep your peepers peeled.

I’ve also got a few videos that go over BBQ Tips and Burger Construction Theory if that floats you boat!

For now, take a gander at the collection I got here and let me know if you make ’em! Happy Grilling and Chilling!

I just made these Oyster Mushroom Skewers recently and they are one of my new favorites! Perfect of the skewer or in a sandwich!

This Grilled Tofu “Chicken” is one of my more popular recipes, and it does great on the BBQ too! You can eat them whole, or chop ’em up and cover them in some BBQ Sauce! Throw ’em on some Buns or a tortilla!

This Shawarma Burger packs all the flavor of Shawarma in Burger Form! Also great with some Toum and Pickled Onions!

The McRib is one of my favorite things to cook on the BBQ!

Vegan McRib

I’ve got two recipes for it, you can either make it with something like Impossible or Beyond Meat, or you can make a Jackfruit Seitan McRib!

So this one takes a little prep, but I can speak from personal experience, these Vegan Double Doubles are a crowd pleaser! Just make the sauce and onions ahead of time, prep the lettuce and tomato before you grill, and you’ll knock everybody’s socks off!

While I do prefer something like Impossible or Beyond Meat on the grill, if you want to make some Scratch Patties using TVP, I got you! I would make these thicker for the BBQ grill, but they should work out fine!

I know it’s easy to just grab some buns at the store, but if you have the time and energy, making homemade Burger Buns is totally worth it!

And yes, you can make these into Hot Dog Buns too!

Chili is a great thing to bring to a BBQ since it can be used either as a side or a topping on burgers or hot dogs!

A classic Macaroni Salad is mandatory at any legit BBQ in my opinion and this one will do just fine!

If you want something a little different (and better in my recent opinion) than a Classic Mac Salad, try some Hawaiian Style! A bit more decadent and rich, with some good sweet and sour flavor going on!

This Vegan Chicken Salad is the perfect thing to bring if you’re going to a non-vegan BBQ and don’t want to deal with the grill situation. Just throw this on a bun and you’re good to go! And it’s great as a side too!

In my opinion, Coleslaw is super underrated! I think I disliked it for so many year because it’s often overly sweet and soggy! Not so with this recipe, it’s a humdinger!

While it might sound strange, I think these Vegan Deviled Eggs are the perfect thing to totally wow your guests or friends at a BBQ!

No BBQ is complete without some Chimichurri in my opinion! This stuff can go on just about anything!

Of course buying some Vegan BBQ Sauce at the store is no problem, but I highly suggest making your own! It’s so much better and you can tailor it to your tastes!

Just like the BBQ Sauce, you can get store bought BBQ Rub, but I prefer making mine at home! Way better and you can control the sweetness and salt levels!

Unlike the BBQ Sauce above, finding some store bought Vegan Burger Sauce is a bit more of a challenge. Luckily it’s fairly easy to make and a total crowd pleaser too!

This Smokey & Spicy Cheesy Dip is perfect for a BBQ! You can even slather this QUESO it on a burger!

Not only is this Pimento Cheese perfect as a dip or spread, you can totally top your burgers with it too!

Same with this Onion Dip, perfect for dipping or spreading and topping your burgers with!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
