Off-campus living comes with new challenges for adult students. You don’t have residence hall advisors and a whole staff available to help out—it’s all on you. The Off-Campus Living Expo is meant to offer helpful resources for students who are moving into rental housing close to Ohio State.
What Happens at the Expo?
The expo is open to current students, parents, faculty, and staff who are interested in learning more about living in the off-campus neighborhoods. The expo hosts information and tips on living in any of the spacious student apartments located close to OSU as well as tips focusing on fire and home safety.
One of the main draws of the expo is the number of vendors who come to this event. Students who come to the Off-Campus Living Expo don’t have to look far to find themselves attractive student housing that’s located off-campus. The Ohio State University’s Off-Campus Housing Network will be in attendance. The network is made up of property owners and rental management companies who take care of a number of cool rentals near Ohio State in the University District. The expo gives eager student renters the chance to chat with these companies and property managers and potentially get a leg up on renting that affordable Ohio State rental with a great view.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a college campus expo if there wasn’t free food, prizes, and giveaways. Vendors will be attending with boxes full of prizes and free swag to pass out to students.
