Hailing from Queens, New York is the immensely talented soulful singer Nikki Buatti.
The artist unveiled her debut music video last Friday, March 7th. “Retreat” sees her deliver a fiery cover of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings‘ hit of the same title.
Steeped in a ’60s aesthetic, Nikki’s jazzy rendition oozes vintage charm. Buatti is portrayed as a dangerously vengeful woman in the neo-noir music video.
The track was co-produced by Nikki and Brendan Keenan, with Jay Rodriguez and Mac Gollehan playing the sax and trumpets, respectively.
