Mohbad’s widow breaks silence, fires back at VDM over ongoing controversy

Wunmi, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has finally broken her silence, publicly calling out online critic Verydarkman for his relentless and unfounded allegations against her family.

Nigerians have taken to social media to applaud Wunmi, the widow of late singer Mohbad, for standing up to online critic Vincent Otse Martins, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM).

For nearly two years, VDM has built a reputation for weighing in on viral controversies, including the death of Mohbad. Among his most vocal claims has been the demand for Wunmi to conduct a DNA test to confirm the paternity of her son, Liam.

However, Wunmi has now broken her silence, calling out Verydarkman for his persistent harassment and attempts to obstruct justice for her late husband, Mohbad. In a series of Instagram story posts, she firmly stated that she would not be forced or bullied into taking a DNA test.

“Vincent, for nearly two years, I have endured your harassment, false narratives, and attempts to obstruct justice for my late husband, Mohbad. Despite my silence, you have continued to spread misinformation, even going so far as to question the paternity of our son, Liam,” she wrote.

She further clarified that her silence was not a sign of weakness but a choice to grieve with dignity. Wunmi also dismissed VDM’s relentless attacks as biased against Mohbad and his legacy.

Meanwhile, in her statement, she revealed that while she and Mohbad had disagreements like any other couple, their marriage was built on understanding and forgiveness. She criticized VDM for focusing on her family while ignoring his own. Also, she warned that his bullying tactics would not break her.

Lastly, her bold response has since sparked widespread reactions online. Many Nigerians are hailing her for standing her ground and defending her late husband’s legacy.
