Work Meal Ideas


So, I generally have the same thing all 4 evenings I work in a week. It makes meal prepping a little easier on Sundays. That’s the day I prepare the meals for my Monday through Thursday schedule. I generally make one thing for lunches to have before I leave for work, then do my meal packs that I bring with me.

In the picture, you can see that I did things super easy last week. I made pepperoni and cream cheese sandwiches, ham, cheese and pickle rollups, and chopped celery.

For my work meal packs, I have 4 containers with three sections each. This works out nicely for me but, if I need other containers, I do have a number of small square and round ones. I also have a thermal soup container.

There are so many ways to create easy work (or school/travel) meals, I thought I would share some ideas with you. These are in no particular order, and you can make any combination of foods you like.

pepperoni sandwiches celery grapes
ham, cheese & pickle rollups celery & carrots hard boiled eggs
crackers and peanut/almond butter salad of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, mozz, & a wee bit of healthy oil pudding with banana/berries and cream
cucumber slices ham & cheese cubes trail mix
protein balls/bars pickles soft boiled eggs
meatballs shredded chicken tuna salad
orange sections grapefruit sections lemon slices (for drinks)
folded up small tortillas, shredded lettuce, tomato, cucumber, cheese & meat crackers, cheese, & pepperoni celery &
peanut butter
peanut butter filled dates cantaloupe chunks watermelon chunks
honey dew chunks berries kiwi
radishes pickled beets rollups with deli meat & cheese, lettuce, tomato & cucumber
nuts seeds raw pod peas/green beans
grape/cherry tomatoes raisins/cranberries popcorn
kale/sweat potato chips Bell pepper slices Homemade fruit cocktail
Homemade applesauce string cheese protein cookie

Save money by using up leftovers in your meal packs. This can make those bits and pieces you have left over stretch further.
