November and December were busy months, filled with some truly surreal moments and some calmer lovelier times. The fall/winter season is always tough on my mental health, but I found some solace in moments with friends and loved ones and I’m glad.
The highlight of it all definitely was getting to go to YALC, the young adult books convention in London, and getting to sign my books for the very first time! In case you’re following my author newsletter or my instagram, you already heard about all of it, so I won’t dwell on it too much, but here are some pictures of me at my little stand.
I still feel like this didn’t happen, if you ask me.
Other than that, the months were filled with work and barely a couple of days off back in my hometown spent with my family. We had a white Christmas which was wonderful! It just feels a little more magical when there’s snow around Christmas time.
January promises to be busy – as I’m writing this, I’m really overwhelmed because I FORGOT to hit publish on this post that was supposed to go up a WEEK ago. Ooops. So, yeah that’s the January mood, aerm.
Monthly Reading Wrap-Up
I thought I didn’t read much this month. Honestly, I thought I read like, one book – turns out I did manage to read a little bit despite everything happening, so that was a nice surprise! Plus, I found some truly fun reads so I’m really happy about that.
WHEN MIMI WENT MISSING ☂️ I always love a good YA mystery and this one perfectly fit the bill. I really loved the whole unreliable main character with missing memories, this was fast-paced and overall a lot of fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
THIS WILL BE FUN☂️ Well, just like its title, this book was a lot of fun. It really is a whole fantasy / romance focusing way more on the characters’ journey than any kind of fantastical journey, which made it definitely unique and fun to read. I really enjoyed the characters and their friendship, so this was real fun for me. If you’re looking for something more plot-focused, this might not be your thing, though! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
THE GOLDENS ☂️ Okay, I found out I could read this book early and I just could not resist okay. Toxic friendships, a cult, set in the first year of university, this book just screamed “you’re going to love me, READ ME” and. Yeah the book was right. I was obsessed, I couldn’t stop reading, that book was SO EXCELLENT, definitely a new favorite read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
FOR SHE IS WRATH ☂️ This one has had its share of hype on bookstagram lately and yes, I was curious. I also got a stunning copy at YALC, and well, give me a story about revenge and I’m all in. I had a lot of fun reading this book overall, it was highly entertaining and really well-written, as well. Looking forward to reading more from the author. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
THE GIRL YOU KNOW ☂️ Okay, this was excellent?! A story about this girl pretending to be her sister to go to boarding school and figure out her murder. I’m like, I really loved the synopsis, how raw this story felt, the mystery, the anger oh my god, I loved this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
THIS NIGHT IS OURS ☂️ Oh I love Ronni Davis’ books. This was such a heartwarming romance, loved the character’s passion shining through, the best friend relationship, the mother/daughter relationship. SO GOOD. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nothing has happened on the writing side of things lately, I’m afraid. I’ve been wanting to get back to it, to find my groove again, but I didn’t manage to do much. Hopefully I can find a good rhythm and get back to writing properly really soon. Fingers crossed.
November and then December were fairly quiet months as well on the blogging side. I still managed to write a couple reviews and get my best books of 2024 post out, so I’m happy about that!
I hope I can write some more and catch up with the reviews I have left, soon-ish. Fingers crossed!
