Zupan’s Markets and Breakside Brewery team up for latest Farm to Market release (received)

Two cans of Farm to Market West Coast IPA, brewed by Breakside Brewery for Zupan's Markets

The latest beer in the collaborative Farm to Market beer series from Zupan’s Markets has the grocery chain teaming up with Breakside Brewery to release a modern take on a West Coast IPA. The beer is available now at Zupan’s various locations, and I received a couple of cans to review.

Details from the press release:

A modern, hop-forward IPA that pairs fresh Simcoe with a bold, citrusy finish straight from Oregon’s farms to your taste buds

Zupan’s Markets is proud to unveil the release of the next installment in its popular Farm-to-Market beer series, crafted in collaboration with Portland’s Breakside Brewing. The new beer, titled Farm to Market: West Coast IPA, is a nod to the classic IPA styles of the past, with a modern, West Coast hop profile designed to captivate today’s beer drinkers. This beer is available in all Zupan’s Markets locations.

“At Zupan’s Markets, we’re passionate about bringing the best of Oregon’s local ingredients to our customers, and our Farm-to-Market series embodies that commitment,” said Zupan’s Markets President and CEO Mike Zupan. “This latest release, crafted with Breakside Brewing and locally grown hops is a true celebration of flavors that define a great West Coast IPA.”

The West Coast IPA is a bright, hop-driven beer with a burst of citrus and floral notes, designed for those who love bold, aromatic flavors. Brewed with Oregon-grown Simcoe hops from Scenic Valley Farms and Coleman Agriculture, this beer brings a fresh, local touch to every sip. Its golden hue and refreshing profile make it ideal for enjoying on a sunny day or paired with your favorite meal.

Farm to Market: West Coast IPA – Beer Profile:

  • ABV: 6.8%
  • Tasting Notes: Citrusy grapefruit with hints of sweet apricot, balanced by floral notes and a sweet pine finish.
  • Hops: Simcoe, Krush, Nectaron
  • Malts: Two Row, Pilsner
  • Pairings: A truly food-friendly beer to pair with all things for spring.

This latest Farm-to-Market release is priced at $4.95 for a single and $17.00 for a 4-pack and features a label designed by local artist Erik Abel.

Fun fact, Zupan’s is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. I don’t know (haven’t heard) if the company will be releasing a special 50th anniversary Farm to Market beer, but that seems like it would be a home run.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
