iPhone 15 line launches this week, starting from $799

Apple’s new phones offer a number of enhancements and latest iOS 17

The company is releasing this week its new line up of smartphones, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus, as well as iPhone Pro and 15 Pro Max, all of them offering a hefty upgrade over the previous generations. The cheapest model is staring at $799 for its base configuration, attracting users who want to experience Apple’s phones at an affordable price point. It comes with a 6.1 inch screen and an A16 Bionic chipset inside, equipped with a 48MP rear camera and USB-C connector. The larger model comes with  a 6.7-inch screen and the same specs as the 6.1 version.

The A16 chip is the same as that used in the last year’s premium models, which is good, considering the fact that iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max performed really well in real-life tests. It has 6 cores, good enough for all tasks and resourse-intensive apps and games.

Users who want something a bit more special can order the iPhone 15 Pro – a device that adds the new A17 processor with 3nm, and has a titanium frame. For photo enthusiasts is the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which includes Apple’s latest periscope lens for zooming. All models will be available for orders this week at Apple Store or other retailers around the globe.

Storage options for the two entry-level models are 128, 256 or 512 GB, while battery specs are not present at the time of writing. However, Apple claims that the phones should last a whole day of intensive use. Additionally, iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are available in a fourth storage version – 1TB, whose price is 1499 and 1599 USD, respectively.
