Releasing this June, Into the Wonderwoods tells the tale of Angelo, a 10-year-old boy who ventures into an otherworldly woods in hopes of reuniting with his family. This upcoming animated feature from Shout! Studios and renowned filmmakers Vincent Paronnaud and Alexis Ducord will soon be available on digital platforms.
With much anticipation, Into the Wonderwoods has also been selected for Annecy 2025. The animated feature previously held an early screening at the 2024 Festival de Cannes and will screen once more at the Seattle International Film Festival 2025 before its full digital release. With the story’s original creator, Vincent Paronnaud, onboard the creative team, Into the Wonderwoods shows great potential.
Synopsis
Angelo is left alone by mistake, as his parents drive off without their 10-year-old boy. As an aspiring zoologist, he takes the opportunity to try and cut through the forest to catch up with them. However, this forest is far from ordinary, and his simple life is left behind, with the creatures inside not as friendly as they seem.
Haylie Baker is an anime and cartoon enthusiast with a background in creative writing and character design. Some of her favorite titles include FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Avatar: The Last Airbender. Aside from animation, she enjoys comics, graphic novels, and writing her own stories. She also has a fluffy white cat named Oliver that likes to meow at her while she works.
