Home sales are influenced by the season. May of 2025 looks a lot like May of 2024. Home prices and sales are up and so are new listings. Prices are up from last May and down slightly from last month.
The numbers reflect home sales in St. Paul, the data is from the NorthstarMLS, which is deemed reliable but not guaranteed.

The local real estate market is a seller’s market as interest rates remain high and the inventory of homes for sale remains low. Sales may slow way down due to Trump’s trade war. There hasn’t been a trade war since I have been keeping track of home sales in St. Paul so I am not sure what to expect, other than higher prices on many items and layoffs due to lower consumer demand due to tariffs. No I don’t have a field guide for this.
Happy June!
