3 Ways to Unstuck Yourself (From Someone Who’s Been There)

Why staying stuck isn’t your story—unless you let it be

Let’s get one thing straight—stuck isn’t your natural state. It’s a signal.
A damn loud one.

You weren’t born to live on autopilot.
To say yes when you mean no.
To keep proving yourself in rooms that don’t see you.

But here you are. Spinning. Doubting. Wondering how you lost touch with the woman you used to be.

I know that place. I lived there.

On paper, I was succeeding. I was the capable one. The one who always showed up, delivered, pushed through.
But somewhere in the chaos of striving, pleasing, and performing—I disconnected from me.

That’s what stuck really is.
It’s not failure. It’s not weakness.
It’s a wake-up call.

I became the Unstuckologist not because I had it all figured out, but because I chose to stop tolerating what didn’t serve me, and to help other women do the same.

Here are three powerful ways to unstick yourself. No dramatic overhaul needed. Just clarity, choice, and a little courage.

1. Press Pause and Get Perspective

This is the step we skip when we’re in go-mode.

But clarity can’t land when your head is spinning.

So pause. Step back. Create space—even five minutes—to tune back into you.

Ask:

  • What am I tolerating that’s draining me?
  • What’s out of alignment?
  • What do I know but haven’t admitted to myself yet?

Sometimes the most powerful move isn’t doing more.
It’s stopping long enough to see.

2. Use the Above/Below the Line Framework (in You Always Have a Choice) link to book

This tool changed everything for me.
It’s simple, but it shifts your mindset instantly.

You’re either:

  • Above the line (open, accountable, in choice)
  • Or below the line (defensive, blaming, in drama)

We all drop below. That’s human. But power comes when you notice—and consciously move above.

Ask:

  • Am I in reaction or response right now?
  • What would a more empowered version of me choose?

Getting unstuck starts with getting honest.

3. Reconnect to What You Stand For

Feeling stuck often means you’ve drifted from what matters.
Your values. Your voice. Your vision.

You’re not broken. You’re just misaligned.

This is about more than self-care. It’s about self-leadership.
Because when you reconnect to who you are, everything starts to shift—from the inside out.

Ask:

  • What do I want to be known for?
  • What am I done tolerating?
  • If I could lead my life on my terms, what would that look like?

Clarity comes when you stop editing yourself to be palatable and start leading in alignment with your truth.

You’re Not Broken. You’re Just Ready.

If you’re feeling stuck—unseen, unheard, unvalued—it’s not a flaw. It’s a signal.

You don’t need to start over. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to come back to yourself.
Pause. Notice. Choose again.

Because the moment you reconnect with who you are is the moment things start to shift.
Not overnight—but powerfully.

You always have a choice.
And that choice can start right now.
