What is Jonah All About?

• Jonah is one of the 12 Minor Prophets—but unlike the others, it’s told as a story, not a series of prophecies.
• It follows Jonah’s attempt to run from God’s call to preach to Nineveh.
• Jonah disobeyed, boarded a ship, and was swallowed by a great fish.
• After 3 days, the fish spit him out—and Jonah finally obeyed.
• He delivered God’s message, and the people of Nineveh repented.

Key Lessons from Jonah:

• You can run from God, but you can’t hide.
• God is full of grace, mercy, and second chances.
• He lovingly pursues us—no matter where we go.
• God wants us to share His message so others can turn to Him.
• “He is patient… not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

Do I need a group to join the study?
Not at all! You can do it solo if you prefer.

Want to Start Your Own Group?

1. Invite 2–12 friends
   From your church, Bible study, family, neighborhood, or workplace.
2. Pick how you’ll connect
   Choose: Facebook, email, text or meet in person weekly.
3. Create a space to share
   Use your platform to post daily reflections, encouragement, and prayer requests.
