1991 what a year a year that was filled with such highs and lows one of the most important and craziest years of my life it was as John Lennon described my own lost weekend .We all have one and this was mine The year i split up with a longtime girlfriend the year i met my future wife a , the year my band fell apart just as they looked like they where about to get signed .there were so many labels interested it would have been harder not to get signed but we somehow managed it [i will one day dig out the demos and get them released as an album on cd ]. 1991 was one personally not to forget and the music that soundtracked this crazy year is here .it was really difficult to narrow it down to 10 .i am sure people will say how come no Bandwagonesque or The Power Of Pussy or Loveless or Screamadelica or Out Of Time .all great albums as is Lloyd Coles wonderful Don’t Get Weird On Me Baby [which might be number 11on the list] .i just happen to prefer these excellent 10 albums all that bring me memories of sadness regrets and many secret smiles 1991 was a year i will be forever grateful i experienced but would not like to experience again .. Well maybe some of it.
