Xbox’s Full Screen Experience (FSE) is now available on Windows 11 handheld gaming devices. Beginning last week, users can boot directly into Xbox to achieve a console-like experience on portable hardware.
FSE brings a controller-navigated user interface built around gaming-first, full-screen play. Players can browse and launch titles from across their game libraries, including options from the most popular PC storefronts, all without leaving the interface. Task Switcher lets users easily switch between games and apps.
Beyond handheld devices, Microsoft is now rolling out FSE in preview for more Windows 11 form factors. Laptops, desktops, and tablets running Windows 11 can now try the preview version.
To access the FSE preview on Windows 11 PCs, users need to join both the Xbox Insider Program and the Windows Insider Program. To join the Xbox Insider Hub, go to “Previews,” click “PC Gaming Preview,” and select Join.
