Canadian telecommunications provider Telus has partnered up with anime streaming service Crunchyroll to offer subscriptions to its users. Members can now sign up for the monthly Mega Fan-tier, with an additional 10% discount applied to those who are part of Telus’ Stream+ bundle program. Crunchyroll joins other streaming services offered to Telus members like Amazon Prime, Disney+ and Netflix.
Telus is the first provider in Canada to make Crunchyroll available. Koodo, which is a Telus mobile brand, will offer Crunchyroll to its members in the coming weeks. A guide has been published offering additional information, including what existing Crunchyroll users who wish to switch to Telus should do.
The benefit of subscribing to Crunchyroll through a third party like Telus is unified billing, as well as potential discounts for those bundling multiple services. Those paying this way are still entitled to the same content library as well as any perks offered in the Mega Fan-tier.
