We’d like to thank Kühl Clothing Company for giving us two pairs of pants in exchange for an honest review.
I’m going to be honest here. We’re not big hikers. We like to explore the occasional trail, especially when the location has something a little something special: mountain landscapes, a dash of history, petroglyphs, waterfalls, or, in this case, the opportunity to view a body of water. We enjoy getting in touch with nature, but we won’t be doing anything too rugged anytime soon.
When I searched for hiking opportunities this fall, I came across the Table Rock Lakeshore Trail, and I thought it would be just our speed; it’s paved and follows the shoreline of Table Rock Lake near the Dewey Short Visitor Center and the Showboat Branson Belle. If you continue walking past the Belle and follow the trail to the end, you’ll end up at the State Park Marina. This trail is part of Table Rock State Park.

Table Rock Dam is also nearby. Here is the Table Rock Lake side of the dam; the spillway is on the other side of the dam and pours into Lake Taneycomo. The Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery is located a short distance away and is a fun place to feed the trout.

We also had the opportunity to try out our Kühl pants and share our review. Read on to learn more about the trail and our experience with Kühl.
Arriving at Table Rock Lakeshore Trail

We arrived at Table Rock Lakeside Trail at about 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday in mid-October. The leaves were just beginning to change; the fall colors had certainly not taken over yet. Still, it was a nice, cool morning, and we were in the fall spirit. The trailhead parking lot is shared with the Dewey Short Visitor Center, so there was plenty of parking; the Dewey Short Visitor Center is currently closed on Sundays.
There are restrooms available at the trailhead, but we didn’t go inside.

The trail is paved, but some offshoots provide access to the lake. It really is a picturesque trail. The temps were crisp but not cold.

We even saw this fire pit near the beginning of the trail. What a great way to spend an evening: chillin’ around a fire while listening to the waves nip at the shore.

The trail winds around within the bounds of the wooded area with a view of the lake.

You have ample opportunities to get closer to the water and then head back to the main trail.

We also saw benches and trash cans along the way.

Hiking with Kühl
We took this hiking opportunity to try out the pants we received from Kühl. Kühl is a premium outdoor and casual clothing brand for men and women. Based in Salt Lake City, this company takes its name from the German word for “cool.” After looking into the company, I’ve discovered that they create apparel for hiking, skiing, and mountain climbing. Their goal is to create high-quality items to benefit those who love to explore the outdoors. They also ethically source materials. Many of their products can also be used in everyday life, not just on the trail.
Let’s start with my pants. I was gifted the Freeflex Move style in the Koal color.

I chose this color because I hoped to wear these in other scenarios in my life, like work or running errands.

I liked that they had a stretchy waistband and a drawstring, so it made it easy to move in them. The material is lightweight, but my legs were protected from the cool morning breeze.

The legs are straight-leg, so they’re not clingy or too tight.

The zippered pockets are nice; no worries of losing things out of my pockets!
Jeff chose the Men’s Radikl Klassik fit in the color Fossil.

Jeff liked the look and feel of the pants. They are great for hiking or any occasion in which you’d wear Khaki pants.

The Klassik fit was a straight-leg hem rather than tapered. Jeff prefers this.

The pants are lightweight, so no overheating here. The pockets are nice, and there a several! They are revited for durability. These pants are perfect for the outdoors or a casual occasion like dinner with friends.

Ending the Hike
As stated above, you could hike all the way to State Park Marina. We opted to turn around before then. We had a nice morning taking in the peaceful surroundings.

It was definitely a great way to spend time together.

At one point, a caterpillar fell on Kristin. We examined him, and then Kristin put him on a tree trunk. That was our experience with wildlife for this hike.

The Wrap-Up
Table Rock Lakeside Trail is the perfect hiking spot for casual hikers in Branson. You have the wooded area and the water, so the path is really quite beautiful. I wish we could see it in early November; the leaves would be stunning now. Still, it’s a tranquil place, and I’d love to do the trail again. Maybe next fall!
I also loved my pants from Kühl. They were perfect for keeping me the right temperature on a fall day, a fall day in which I walked some of the trail with my hoodie and some without. I love the drawstring. These days, I’m into comfort along with style. I’ve worn them to work, and they were perfect for this teacher who spends mornings building sets for theatre and afternoons in a traditional classroom teaching public speaking. Jeff is enjoying his pants from Kühl, as well. They are nice for doing things outside as the weather changes. We look forward to years of use; these pants are the type of piece that you can wear for a lifetime.
