The EP “Shinigami Protocol” is a collaborative project between Philadelphia-based MC Spazz Black and Dutch producer Skinny Bonez Tha Godfatha.
The two artists along with Marsten House have worked together on the Housewarming EP by Marsten House and Skinny Bonez. The next logical step would be a collaborative project between the emcee and producer, and “Shinigami Protocol” is here with banging beats & bars. Released November 28, 2025.
It starts off with ‘Press Start’ it talks about growing up with dreams in the hood, trying to do the right thing, when times were simpler but crazy all together. Making music and grinding, making moves in the game, learning discoveries, and learning everything leads right back to you.
Real hip hop. Lyricism at its purest. Like you and your fam in a lunchroom cypher. One thing I noticed too was not a lot of cursing and lack of the N-word, which is being creative. The whole project is most definitely a non-skip joint… puff puff pass…
Tracks like ‘Ultra Zone’ sound like Spazz bout to explode while dropping gemz & splitting atoms. I’m digging the piano loop and sample flip on ‘Monster Appear’ the last track. Also lyrically slaying.
