Air Canada has launched a flash sale, which offers up to a 30% discount on miles purchased with Aeroplan. The offer kicks in when buying at least 10,000 points in one transaction.
You can access the promotion on the Air Canada website.
At the top end of the promotion, you can buy Air Canada Aeroplan miles at the rate of 6,562.5 Canadian Dollars / 4811.50 US Dollars / INR 411,700 for 250,000 points, pricing it at 1.93 US Cents / INR 1.65 per Aeroplan Mile. This is the top end of the 30% discount promotion, and you can buy up to 2,50,000 miles with this promotion.
The promotion is live from June 26, 2025 to July 3, 2025, at 11:59:59 PM PST. Even new accounts can use this promotion. For the duration of this promotion, the eligible limit of Aeroplan points that can be bought per Aeroplan account is 250,000 Aeroplan points.
Air Canada has various partners, even outside Star Alliance, such as Emirates, Etihad, Gulf Air, Oman Air, and Air Mauritius. You can mix and match partner airlines for awards that allow stopovers for a modest fee of 5,000 miles. In the case of Aeroplan, there are no fuel surcharges on award tickets, meaning you should not expect to pay hefty fees when redeeming points. However, occasionally, there are technical issues, such as the current issues with Etihad.

Air Canada is offering a 30% discount on the purchase of Aeroplan miles through July 3, 2025 (July 4, 2025, in India). To trigger the bonus, you must buy a minimum of 10,000 miles. This will bring the price of Aeroplan miles to one of the lower end, but not the lowest, it has been in a long time.
