It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend, colleague, and founding partner, Al Dale, on January 6, 2025. Al’s leadership and unwavering dedication have been at the heart of DMCL since its earliest days, and his influence on our firm—and on everyone who had the privilege to work alongside him—cannot be overstated.
Throughout his remarkable career, Al helped shape DMCL’s culture of collaboration, mentorship, and exceptional client service. From the firm’s inception, he guided DMCL’s growth and established the professional standards we uphold today. Widely recognized for his keen business acumen, he brought strategic thinking to every aspect of the firm’s operations and to the clients he served.
Outside of DMCL, Al forged lasting relationships with clients and industry partners, earning their respect and gratitude. We remain profoundly grateful for the countless ways he shaped our firm, and we will forever cherish his memory.
Al is survived by his wife, Nadya, and two sons, Matthew and Justin. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to them, as well as to everyone who is mourning this loss.
The Dale family has confirmed that the funeral service will be open to anyone wishing to attend; however, space is somewhat limited. Out of consideration for Al’s family and closest friends, we respectfully request that only individuals who were close to Al attend in person. If you are unable to attend and would like to share a memory or send condolences, you may do so on the memorial page created by the family in Al’s honour.
