News Alert: Reyes Gains Sazerac In CO, Expanding Multistate Partnership
Fresh off of closing its acquisition of 11 state businesses from RNDC, Reyes Beverage Group continues to bolster its wine and spirits portfolio. The distributor has now expanded its partnership with U.S. spirits volume leader Sazerac to include Colorado, one of the states in which Reyes recently took over the former RNDC business.
In addition to Colorado, Sazerac’s alignment with Reyes includes distribution of a diverse portfolio of Sazerac products in California, Texas, and Hawaii, and Reyes also handles Sazerac’s multimillion-case Buzzballz brand in Illinois and South Carolina. Owned by the Goldring family, Sazerac ranks as the largest U.S. spirits supplier in volume at some 47 million cases, according to Impact Databank (Diageo continues to lead the U.S. industry in value terms).
Sazerac’s range includes brands like BuzzBallz, Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Eagle Rare, Weller, The Last Drop, Traveller Whiskey, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, Southern Comfort, Svedka Vodka, Wheatley Vodka, Myers’s Rum, Paddy’s Irish Whiskey, and many others.
Including its new territories acquired from RNDC, Reyes’s wine and spirits revenues are projected to approach $7 billion this year, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter, with the company ranking third in sales terms among all wine and spirits distributors, after Southern Glazer’s and Breakthru Beverage.
