The Bionic Frog has found its soulmate. The iconic Bionic Frog has now found his person — Bionic Froggette. This inaugural release of the ‘Bionic Frogette’ comes from Christophe Baron’s cobblestone-laden vineyards outside the town of Milton-Freewater. It is an extremely limited edition wine that is dense, dark and decadent Grenache. It is quite different than the famed God Only Knows.
The wine is extremely mineral-laden and concentrated. It is a flat out fabulous bottling that is unforgettable and totally different than anything you will taste in the Pacific Northwest. 2024 Cayuse Vineyards ‘Bionic Froggette’ Grenache- A brand new wine from Cayuse Vineyards, the inaugural 2024 Cayuse Vineyards ‘Bionic Froggette’ Grenache is a stunning bottling from the stony terroir of Milton-Freewater. Extremely dark in the glass, this comes off wonderfully stony on the nose offering soy sauce and Umami notes alongside Nori, Parma ham and suggestions of green peppercorns. The oak treatment here beautifully caresses the deep combination of red and dark fruits, as this exudes class with its kaleidoscope of non-fruit flavors. The palate is intense and nervy with a seamless texture and marvelous combination of weight and verve. There is quite simply nothing like this in the world.
