GWM Haval To Add Apple Car Key Support Soon

Apple Car Keys support is coming to cars made by another Chinese carmaker. This comes after it was discovered that GWM’s Tank vehicles were in the process of receiving the same support.

New code spotted by @aaronp613 on the X social network shows that references to Haval are present.

Haval is another car brand owned by the GWM parent company, so it’s perhaps no surprise that it’s the latest to be readying Car Keys support.

As MacRumors notes, the addition of Haval will see the existing number of vehicles that support Apple Car Keys even further.

When support launches, compatible Haval vehicles will join more than 50 models that already work with Car Keys, including vehicles from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Toyota, and Rivian.

Apple Car Keys support varies from one carmaker to another. But the technology allows for iPhones and Apple Watches to be used to unlock and start compatible vehicles without the need for a traditional key or key fob.

It’s unknown exactly when the new Apple Car Keys support will come to Haval. However, it’s likely to come online within the next few weeks if the code for the carmaker is already appearing in Apple’s software. We can also likely expect more carmakers to follow suit in the coming months.
