MY REVIEW
I haven’t read any books by Jandy Nelson, but when I started to read The World Tips Over, I realised just what a marvellous author Jandy is. Although this a longer book with 529 pages I enjoyed reading all about Dizzy as she was my favourite character. Dizzy is a young girl who has gone through difficult times in her life. She has two brothers Wynton and her perfect brother Miles. Dizzy’s father left her mother, and disappeared, then at the age old twelve Dizzy, split up with her boyfriend, Lizard, who now goes by his real name Tristan after he got a new hair cut and a new girlfriend. To matters more complicated in Northern California where Dizzy’s family live a rainbow-haired girl comes into their lives. This is a splendid story with many mixed emotions, with each character having their own unique story to tell.
