But as you race to her house,
the message is deleted.
She answers the door, insists everything’s fine.
She says she never sent a message.
Something’s not right, but what can you do?
Six hours later, the police call.
There’s blood all over your friend’s house.
She’s missing.

I’m rating this one a solid 4/5 for its strong writing, compelling characters, and a storyline that keeps you engaged.
The narrative does jump around in time, which adds intrigue but also requires some focus to keep track of.
While I typically do enjoy an unpredictable ending, this one bordered on frustratingly unforeseeable, which took away some of the satisfaction. Still, the twists and turns, along with the richly drawn characters, made it a worthwhile read.
Perfect for fans of intricately plotted mysteries, even if you prefer to guess the ending yourself!
