A snow covered February – RexyEdventures

For those who live in the UK, did you enjoy the snow earlier on this month?

After what has been the longest January ever of twiddling thumbs back at home under lockdown, it was a welcome relief to have something different happen at the start of February with the arrival of the snow!

After taking multiple walks in my local neighbourhood (keeping within the five mile radius of my home), things started to become the same day in and day out wherever I went. But the blanketing of snow across the local neighbourhood changed the scene and I was super excited to get exploring out there again – particularly in the local parks dancing in the flurries of snow.

it was also a huge delight to see other people (social distancing) enjoy their snow walks, their smiles beaming on their red tinged faces from the cold. A much welcome relief from the monotony of seeing your four walls constantly, copious zoom quizzes and many DIY attempts to the house outside of the daily work.

So, for the seven days Hull had snow, every day I would be out there taking long walks, having snowball fights with friends and really feeling that magic of Christmas again.

Plus, more funny photo opportunities too as you will see below!

Now that the snow has gone, I do feel a sense of rejunevation and that the light at the end of the tunnel in this pandemic is becoming much brighter. Hopefully, I will get to travel freely again but it looks like international travel will be put on hold until further notice. However, I’m busy planning a Scotland trip to the Highlands and Lochs once it is safe to go there. Do you have any tips for Scotland?

Meanwhile, keep safe and strong – we will get to travel before we know it.
