Do you want to make a trip through New Zealand, but have no idea where to start? I’m happy to help you make a personal travel plan that suits your wishes. So no standard program, but a travel plan created especially for you that is carefully and put together for you by a true New Zealand specialist.
How does this work?
We plan an online video call, during which we discuss your wishes. The duration is about 30 minutes and during this conversation we will specifically talk about your interests, but also how far you want to drive per day, which activities are fun and what your wishes are regarding overnight stays.
I visited New Zealand six times between 2002 and 2024 and travelled around for more than a year in total. I am the author of the Dutch New Zealand Travel Guide and regularly appear in the media as a New Zealand expert. Between 2001 and 2017 I worked for various travel organisations. Providing concrete, practical tips is therefore my job and is based on years of experience.
Based on our conversation, I will make a day-to-day itinerary for you. You will receive this from me in PDF including useful links for booking your transport, accommodation and excursions.
The costs for making a travel plan are:
Travel up to 21 days: € 195,-
Travel up to 30 days: € 245,-
Travel longer than 30 days: price on request
To give you an idea of what a trip plan looks like, you can download a free example here.

- A PDF file with at least 1 page per travel day based on your personal preferences.

Frequently asked questions
Why should we pay you for information that can also be found online?
Not all information can be found online. With the rise of AI and robots, I even think that we are moving further and further away from honest, personal, first-hand information. I have been travelling to New Zealand since 2002 and know the country like no other. Before I became self-employed, I worked in the travel industry for 16 years in an office and during this period I spoke to thousands of customers who came to me for personal travel advice. Providing personal advice is therefore my job and I am trained to ask the right questions so that I can provide sound, honest and concrete advice.
Why don’t you book trips?
I’m not a travel organisation, I prefer to leave that specialism to others. If, after our conversation, you decide that you would like to continue with a travel organisation, I can recommend a few travel organisations from my past that would be happy to book your trip for you.
Have you been everywhere?
No, but almost everywhere! However, New Zealand is a huge country with countless sights. Moreover, the country continues to develop as a tourist destination. In order to keep my knowledge up-to-date, I try to go back every year and discover new, special places and (re)discover old locations.
Are you independent?
Yes, I do not have a director and my advice comes straight from my heart. However, it is true that if you make a reservation through my channels, I may receive a commission. However, this is not always the case and I work together with various suppliers.
On which days are you available?
I do not have fixed working days and/or working hours. As soon as you contact me, we will plan a time that works for both of us. In consultation, this can also be in the evening or at the weekend. In principle, I work from Europe and am therefore in the same time zone.
Isn’t everything in your books and on your site?
Although I believe that my books and site are very extensive, not everything can be found here. Some information is very personal and not relevant to everyone. My website and travel guides are written so that they are useful and readable for everyone. During our conversation we will discuss your wishes and expectations and I can respond to a personal advice based on your answers.
What are your areas of expertise?
Although I call myself an all-round New Zealand expert, my expertise lies mainly in individual travel, both by public transport and by private means of transport. I have traveled both with a partner and alone, have hitchhiked regularly, go out for dinner but also like to cook my own meals and have both walked and cycled. In short: I have seen a lot of New Zealand and gained a lot of experience, which I can draw on to answer your questions as best as possible.
Invoicing and payment
Prior to the conversation you will receive an invoice from me, which you must have paid prior to the conversation. Are you not satisfied after the conversation? Then you will receive a full refund.
