Amanda Cy‘s shift from songwriter to artist took place in 2021, with the talented singer delivering a sterling debut single called “My Name Next To Yours“. Three years later, she now has a bunch of anthems, including her latest offering.
Christened “Miss U”, the new song is an uptempo pop rock banger lifted from Amanda’s upcoming third EP. It finds her struggling to move on from someone. The music video couldn’t be more befitting.
“I came up with the EP title ‘LOVEGRUNGE’ and wanted a song to capture the concept. ‘Miss U’ is about wanting to have your cake and eat it, with sonics that express that chaotic feeling,” says the Swedish singer-songwriter who splits time between London and Stockholm.
This song radiates pure, unbridled energy, and has been stuck in my head since I first heard it. You’ve really got to add “Miss U” to your playlist.
