Loop51 Amsterdam // Your Little Black Book

A concept like that of Loop51 Amsterdam was something our capital had not seen before. In New York, the brunch-that-turns-into-a-party concept is a huge hit, so our country couldn’t stay behind much longer.

Atmosphere and Interior at Loop51 Amsterdam

If you think Loop51 is just another listening bar, think again. Of course, you can listen to live vinyl here, but while dancing is typically off-limits at listening bars, here, guests are encouraged to hit the dance floor. The concept is simple: during the day, brunch is served while enjoying vinyl, and in the evening, on selected nights, the dance floor opens.

The interior is sleek and modern, yet it still feels homely due to the cosy lighting and warm atmosphere. If you’re visiting as a pair, sit at the bar.

Menu and Dishes at Loop51

As befits a good brunch restaurant, Loop51 offers plenty of brunch classics on the menu. Think of sourdough with smoked butter, poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, bacon or salmon, and classic pancakes.

In addition to the classics, this spot also offers more unique flavours: the buttermilk fried chicken with Cajun and cheese is an absolute must (also available in XL size), as are the rice buns, for example, with eggs and bacon or Nashville fried chicken. You will also find a selection of salads, brunch rösti, and French toast on the menu. Visiting around aperitif time? Be sure to order some bar snacks as an extra treat.

Brunch is even more fun when you make it boozy; the house-made cocktails are perfect. An espresso martini is always a safe bet, but try the Dill 51 or Doba Paloma for something more exciting.
