Dear readers,
After six cycles, I’ve now completed the chemotherapy part of my breast cancer treatment. It’s a very important milestone, and I’m incredibly grateful to the wonderful staff in the Oncology Day Ward, everyone involved in my care, and everyone who has supported me and sent kind messages over the past few months.
My treatment isn’t over yet. I still have a couple of targeted drug treatments before surgery, which is currently planned for early September. After that, I’ll have radiotherapy and continue with the targeted drug treatment for a while longer.
I’m taking things one step at a time. Right now my focus is on recovering from chemotherapy, getting my strength back, and preparing for surgery.
Thank you all for your continued kindness, encouragement and patience while I’ve been quieter than usual. I may not always be able to reply individually, but every message means a great deal to me.
I’m looking forward to the day I can share happier writing news with you all.
Lorna
xx
