Many believers desire financial stability and peace but aren’t always sure how to align their money prayers with God’s Word. The good news is that Scripture gives us clear guidance on how to pray over our finances with faith, confidence, and biblical authority.
So whether you’re managing household finances, running a business, paying down debt, or simply trying to steward what God has already given you, these prayers will help you bring your finances before God intentionally and biblically.

1. Malachi 3:10-11 | Financial Protection
The first scripture we’re going to pray is for financial protection. This is important because the Bible tells us that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. That applies not just to our lives and families, but also to our livelihoods and finances.
We are living in a time where cybersecurity breaches, hacks, and financial fraud are increasingly common. That alone is a sign that we need to be praying protection over our finances—not just spiritually, but also being wise and practical.
Malachi 3:11 says:
“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sake, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the Lord of hosts. (NKJV)
This scripture shows us that when we tithe and enter into covenant with God, He doesn’t just bless us—He also rebukes the devourer. In today’s terms, that means protecting our income, resources, and financial fruit from being consumed or destroyed.
For this promise to be active in your life, you must be a tither. Tithing establishes a covenant with God. If you’re not currently tithing, I encourage you to begin. But if you are a tither, you can confidently stand on this scripture knowing that God is covering your finances.
Prayer for Financial Protection
Lord, thank You that according to Malachi 3:10–11, You rebuke the devourer over my finances. Thank You for placing a hedge of protection around my income and financial resources so that the enemy cannot steal, kill, or destroy. According to Your Word, my finances are protected. Amen.
2. Philippians 4:19 | Financial Provision
The second scripture we’re going to pray is for financial provision. This is for the moments when you need a breakthrough—whether that’s income for your household, resources for your business, or simply money to cover your bills.
God’s Word is clear about His role as provider, and this verse reminds us where our trust should be placed.
Philippians 4:19 says:
“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (NKJV)
If you believe God’s Word is true, then you can declare this scripture over your finances with confidence.
Prayer for Financial Provision
Lord, thank You that according to Philippians 4:19, You supply all of my needs. There is no lack in my life. You said that when we ask, it shall be given, so I am asking You to provide consistent income, resources, and opportunities for my family. I thank You that Your Word does not return void, and I stand on this promise in this season. Amen.
Stand firm in this scripture and believe what God has already said—He will provide everything you need.
3. Philippians 4:6–7 | Financial Peace
The third scripture to pray over your finances is for financial peace. If you’ve been worried, stressed, or mentally weighed down because of your finances, this scripture is for you.
Even if you’re in a stable financial position, praying for peace is still necessary. The enemy wants you worried and distracted, because distraction keeps you from walking fully in your purpose.
Philippians 4:6–7 says:
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (NKJV)
When you apply this scripture directly to your finances and bring your concerns to God in prayer, He promises peace—not based on circumstances, but based on trust in Him.
If you are anxious about money right now, take this scripture and apply it directly to your financial situation. When you pray with thanksgiving and trust God to do what He said, He will give you peace that surpasses all understanding.
