Photos: Amber Mark Shares ‘Pretty Ideas’ at Thalia Hall During Lollapalooza Aftershow

Lollapalooza is in full swing over at Grant Park, but Thalia Hall was the place to be after the fest closed its gates on Saturday night as Amber Mark hosted an exceptional Aftershow.

On Aug. 1, fans packed the Pilson venue eager to hear the singer-songwriter’s genre-bending sounds and pitch perfect vocals. Songs from Mark’s debut studio album, Three Dimensions Deep, as well as singles from 2025’s Pretty Idea had everyone basking in the intricate beauty of the set.

Chicago’s own Ric Wilson – whose Lolla set was unfortunately cancelled due to the weather and delayed gates – opened up the show with a set that had his hometown crowd dancing to “Move Like This” and more. Wilson was not only joined by a full backing band and horn section, but he also had an artist on stage paining a work of art as the set unfolded.

Ric Wilson performs at Thalia Hall in Chicago for an Official Lollapalooza Aftershow on Aug. 1, 2026.

If you missed out on Mark’s sets at Thalia Hall on Saturday and Lollapalooza on Sunday, you’ll have to make it out to her final announced tour date of the year – Aug. 8 at Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle Washington – if you want to catch her live.
