Wait til you hear this one! Someone has been de-banked. (Definition below). This is a bad thing. There are any number of reasons for it. This person has gotten himself into some trouble here, no matter what his status is. And it’s not exactly political, but it is when you consider this person. Many thanks to Raw Story:

Court documents revealing that President Donald Trump was de-banked after a money laundering probe have been linked to a reinvigorated effort to protect him from prosecution by acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. Capital One’s July 31 filing marked the first time a bank formally tied anti-money laundering concerns to Trump’s business empire, according to Al Jazeera. Two days later, Blanche tried to lock in a written guarantee barring the IRS from auditing Trump, his family, and his business entities for conduct predating the settlement, according to NPR.
Now isn’t this interesting? That’s something that hadn’t occurred to us – that Trump would be playing fast and loose with the money. Trump can never have enough money. It’s almost a sure bet that he would like to have more money than Elon does, but that’s a pretty big stretch for Donnie. He’ll have to come up with more grifts to get that high. He won’t give up the ridiculous, overdone plane that he was given. That’s quite a chunk of change right there. But, back on topic, it appears there is suspicion, although not necessarily proof, that Trump might be washing some money. You just never know.

Trump had long claimed his accounts were closed for political reasons following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot — a narrative he used to justify the Trump family’s crypto pivot, according to Al Jazeera. The new filing directly contradicted that claim..
“Capital One closed Plaintiffs’ accounts for anti-money laundering (‘AML’) reasons,” the filing states. “The closures were the result of months of analysis and a careful review by Capital One’s AML team in accordance with bank policies and regulatory guidance.” The bank had kept those findings confidential for five years. The anti-money laundering rationale only became public because Trump sued, according to the filing.
Trump shot himself in the arse. Trump sued; news comes out. Bet he didn’t plan on that happening, or he forgot about it. We don’t know how much he retains these days. Closed for AML reasons. Yikes. Is the ketchup flying yet? It’s surprising we haven’t heard him blow up Truth Social over this. It’s impossible to keep it quiet.
Political commentator Amanda Carpenter connected the two disclosures. “Turns out Capital One flagged them for money laundering. And it’s a coincidence that Blanche wrote the memo to give the Trump family immunity from IRS audits?” “Are we supposed to be fine w IRS audit immunity for the Trump family?” Carpenter added. “This is an obscene protection racket.”
By the way, the IRS protection did not include Ivanka. Interesting. Still, it’s something, alright. Trump is trying to set himself up as untouchable. Let’s fervently hope he can’t. You never know what he’s going to try next. And he’d better have a damn good will on file because he won’t outlast the others in his family. Can you imagine the legal battles? But Trump is going to keep going longer than we expect or hope because he’s that ornery and self-centered. Ugh.
